When you're out on the road with your trailer, keeping an eye on tire pressure and temperature is crucial. The Tuson Towable Tire Pressure Monitoring System provides you with real-time data right to your cab, thanks to sensors that mount securely inside your tires. These sensors use radio frequency to transmit data, ensuring you're always updated on crucial tire stats like tire pressure, temperature, and even battery voltage. It's designed for both trailers and motorized RVs, making it versatile for a range of travel setups.
Forget about swapping sensors every other season. The commercial-grade sensors in this system boast a lifespan of 5 to 10 years, far outlasting typical external sensors. Thanks to their internal placement, they're protected from the elements and debris, meaning they not only last longer but require less maintenance over time. Plus, with brass interchangeable valve stems, they fit seamlessly into wheels with valve stem holes of either 0.453" or 0.625" in diameter.
Got more than one trailer? No problem. This system is designed to store settings for up to three different trailer setups, accommodating up to 10 sensors per configuration. Whether you’re swapping between a travel trailer and a boat trailer, you can easily adapt by just adding more sensors. Tailor your setup with ease, even changing units of measurement between kPa, psi, and bar, or between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Traditional TPMS might lose signal over long distances, but with the included RF repeater, you don’t have to worry about the long haul. This component extends the range of your sensor signals, making it ideal for longer trailers or RVs over 40 feet. Position this repeater for optimal reception, ensuring your cab display receives uninterrupted updates on your tire status even with structural barriers.
Peace of mind comes standard with this TPMS' advanced alert system. The cab display not only provides a clear view of tire data but also features both visual and audible alarms. If there's a sudden change or abnormality in tire pressure or temperature, you'll be instantly alerted, allowing you to take prompt action. Adjust the alarm volume or mute it altogether if the beeping becomes too distracting while driving.
Setting up your tire monitoring system doesn't have to be complicated. The Tuson TPMS comes with everything you need, including sensors, brass valve stems, a monitor display, a receiver, a repeater, and even a power cable with a suction cup holder. Easy-to-follow instructions and all necessary installation hardware are included so you can get on the road faster without any complex procedures.
Wheels with a diameter of 16" or less will have a valve stem hole size diameter of 0.453". Wheels with a diameter larger than 16" will have a valve stem hole size diameter of 0.625".
I have not yet installed the system and the sensors so I am in hopes that they will work as planned and advertised so far they look good to me.
One of two elbow fittings was smaller so I had to go and buy a nipple to install it makingbit a bit taller, so I had to just reverse the install, photos added
Had these installed when I replaced all 6 tires. Tire installer complained a little on the fit but got them all installed. Installed on a 2017 thor class C. Took a round trip ride from Connecticut to Oregon and back via southern circle Texas,Arizona etc. system never skipped a beat. Worked perfectly the entire trip. Never lost communication. Did not install booster antenna as motorhome is only 24’ long. Checked the actual tire pressure vs digital readout a couple of times and it was right on. One down side is the graphic on the display doesn’t show the rear duallies , just a total count of tires. You have to remember which sensors are on what rear tires. Very good and reliable system and delivery was fast
I m more than pleased with the TPMS. We were riding on cheap Chinese-made tires that ended up with four of the six different sidewall failures. The internal TPMS alerted us to the building temperatures in the tires, and we were able to get them serviced before they blew out and caused untold damage to our RV. They do not stress the air valve stems like external sensors and give accurate readings. The downside is that I have to move the RV before the readings show up on the monitor in the cab. But that is a small price to pay for the peace of mind that they bring us on the road.
These are much more responsive than the external stem based TPMD systems. They allow checking and filling like a car tire system. The Only drawback is the vehicle has to be moving to check tire pressures so it can't be used for pre-trip tire pressure check.
Much better than screw on cap type sensors. We had the cap type previously and had two valve stem failures. No issues with these in the wheel sensors.
I wanted a 6 tire TPMS that took up minimal space on the dash/windshield. I didn't want one that mounts to the end of the valve stem so I had these installed while putting new tires on. This has worked well for me over 8000+ miles and counting. Gives me confidence in so I don't have to worry about tire conditions while driving. It occasionally takes a while to connect at the beginning of a drive but was never a big issue.
Just had the sensors installed on the wheels of my 2018 MB Sprinter 3500, and the monitoring display recognized the sensors within about 300 feet of driving and one minute. Paid America's Tire in Walnut Creek $132 for the install ($22/tire including re-balancing), there was no need for "re-learning".
Great product.
I did a lot of research before committing to this one, it checked most of my boxes. If it holds up well and the sensor battery lasts as claimed, it will deserve a five star rating, but for its lacking a couple of features I think are important. I would like to suggest a couple of improvements, should the manufacturer wish to hear them:
1) Adding an integral battery and solar cell would be a huge improvement, I don't like having to plug it into the cigarette lighter, which stays powered up when I shut off the car, putting a drain on the battery unless I remember to shut off the monitor. Another significant advantage to adding this would be not having a cable draped from the front of the instrument panel up the middle of my windshield.
2) make the valve stems about 3/4" longer. I am dealing with duallies in the back, and the edges of MB wheels end up really close to the threaded portion of the valves, making it very difficult to attach the valve extenders.
3) Add a software "switch" to disable the trailer battery status display, this would be accessible through the setup menu. I have no need to monitor trailer battery status, but 1/3 of the display time is taken with a null display.
This is a true TPMS system for a trailer/RV or even your car.
Typical 'screw on' TPMS valves end up rusting onto your tire stems and are less precise. These Tuson TPMS go inside the wheel like a normal TPMS system and are more reliable and longer lasting.
The range is great and the display cycles between temperature and pressure, giving you ample time to react to bad bearings etc instead of finding out you have a problem when a tire blows up.
Installed in the summer of 2023 with new tires. Easy to install the relay unit at the front of the 5th wheel. The display is bright and easy to use. This tire pressure and temperature monitor and disk brakes I purchased from Trailer has removed the stress from wondering about the condition of the tires and brakes. This is much less cost than repairs to the trailer for a blowout as I can attest.
Great product. Only reason for a 4 rating is that the antenna cover keeps falling off and has done this so many times I ended up losing it . Connects great and definitely gives me piece of mind.
Looking forward to replacing my external TPMS sensors with the internal ones.
The shipping carrier had a problem. eTrailer had a solution to fix it. Received my item today. Thanks eTrailer.
These CHANGED MY LIFE! I was so distressed constantly trying to check the pressure in my tires, especially my duallies, after my inner duallies both went flat in the middle of nowhere due to a leaky valve stem extender. These are metal and replace your regular valve stems, and then I added new valve stem extenders additionally and checked for leaks really good everywhere before reinstalling, and now, NO MORE PROBLEMS and I can monitor continuously. Hallelujah!!! I love that these monitor my pressure and temperature for each tire in real time and it works so well I didn’t even need to use the signal booster on my class C RV. Being on the road full-time is stressful enough and there’s always something to monitor/repair; getting these took one thing to worry about off my plate. If you’re on the fence, buy them now!
So far, the time that I he’s been using it and what everyone tell me about the sensor it working very good/well but the only thing I can’t program the to/on my 2020 Chev truck using the monitor on my dash of the truck
